JAMMU, July 16: Police in Jammu’s Khour area claimed today that they have arrested a bootlegger and seized from his possession 52 bottles of illicit liquor.
Bachan Lal son of Bholla Ram of Millan Di Khui, Tehsil Khour, District Jammu, was arrested with 52 bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each by a team of Police Station Khour led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma assisted by SHO Khour, Inspector Rahul Mahajan, and incharge Police Post Pallanwala, ASI Raj Singh, during routine checking at Khour, a police spokesperson said.
He said the accused has been booked in case FIR number 70/2023 under section 48(a) of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Khour and further investigation taken up.
