Special train for Jammu from tomorrow

 

NEW DELHI:  In order to clear extra rush of passengers during winter season, Northern Railway has decided to run a special train to Jammu for five days a week from tomorrow.

The Anand Vihar-Jammu Tawi winter special train service will depart from Anand Vihar station from December 17 and continue till December 31.

It will depart from here on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 11.45 PM to reach Jammu Tawi at 11.50 AM, the next day.

In the return direction, the Jammu Tawi–Anand Vihar winter special train will leave from Jammu Tawi at 5.40 PM from December 18 and continue till January 1, 2014.

It will begin its journey to the capital on every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday to reach Anand Vihar station at 5.45 AM, the next day.

Consisting of nine sleeper class coaches, four general class and two 2nd class cum luggage van coaches, the special train will stop at Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Saharanpur, Ambala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Chakki Bank stations enroute in both the directions. (agencies)
