JAMMU, July 17: We Care Welfare Society (WCWS) Jammu organized a free medical camp for Eye, Ortho and General Health Check-up at village Chowki Choura.
During the camp, Rohan Sood (Ophthalmologist) and his team of renowned Eye Hospital ‘Sood Eye Care Centre’ comprising Dr Rohan Sood, Rakesh Bali, Business Dev, Tanmeet Singh, Sahir Kour, Kousual Kumar and Shyal Kishore, examined patients for all eye ailments with great precision, patience commitment and dedication.
A total of 157 eye patients were examined and among them 34 were screened for Cataract Surgery and they will be subsequently operated upon in the coming days at Sood Eye Care Centre, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. 70 spectacles were distributed free of cost. Sham Jandyial helped in distributing spectacles of their proper vision to the patients.
Dr Arvind Sharma, a Senior Physician from famous Medanta Hospital Gurugram and his team comprising Sandeep Singh Jamwal, Aryan Sharma, Harish Uttam, Akshya and Ankush Mahjan, examined around 81 patients of general health related problems. Facilities of ECG, BP, PFT and eye testing with latest equipments were provided at the camp.
About 79 patients of joint pain and bones related problems were examined by Dr Sham Jurangal (Senior Ortho Surgeon, Swami Vivekanand Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla). Medicines were also distributed to the needy patients free of cost.
WCWS members present in the camp were Kuldip Uppal (treasurer), Nikhil Gupta (organizing secretary), DIG (retired) Deepak Singh Slathia, Anil Murwaha, General Manager, Power Grid, Murwaha, V K Sharma, Amarjeet Singh, D P Saini, Arvind K Khajuria, Arvind Khajuria, Satish Chander Gupta, Veenu Uppal, Yogesh Jyotshi, Ravinder Kumar, Rakesh Arora, Subash Jandyial, Sham Jandyial, Neelam Gupta, Surinder Singh Surjit Kour, Ashish Nargotra, Rajinder Pal and Anju.
