Omar committed to make State financially self-reliant: Tanvir

SRINAGAR, Dec 16: Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Tanvir Sadiq has said that that Government headed by Omar Abdullah is committed to make the State financially self-reliant.
“Results of development programmes are visible on ground in the State. While the Omar Abdullah Government is slowly achieving the targets and realizing the promises made to people, it is at the same time also ensuring that the State is financially self-reliant” said Tanvir Sadiq, in a Public Darbar at Chief Minister’s private office at Srinagar.
The Political Secretary who will be present in the Valley till Dec 20 said, “Omar has all along worked for restoration of peace and tranquility, took sincere efforts to safeguard human rights, reform the security and law and order machinery, to create employment opportunities for youth, upgrade road communication system, enhance drinking water facility and launch new power projects during the last about five years which have started showing encouraging results on the ground.” Tanvir said, adding “this Government ensured comprehensive development of Jammu and Kashmir in all the regions.
