Speaker lays foundation stone of community hall

SRINAGAR, Dec 16: Speaker Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul today reiterated the resolve of the Government to maintain the development momentum and said that works on ground speak clear and loud.
Mr. Gul after laying the foundation stone of community hall at Gaassi Mohallah Eidgah here today said that extending amenities to the people and establishing basic infrastructure is a priority agenda of the Government.
The community hall will be constructed by Srinagar Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 1.55 crore within one year.
Earlier, Mr. Gul also inaugurated fountain at Aali Masjid constructed by the Tourism Department at a cost of Rs 40 lakh. He said that a number of projects are underway in Eidgah including various community halls. He also announced Rs 5 lakh out of his CDF for taking up work on the dispensary.
Mr Gul said that a community hall at Bhagwanpora will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1.60 crore, besides Srinagar Municipal Corporation has already taken up construction work on various lanes and bylanes in Eidgah constituency and the process will continue to improve the place further.
