JAMMU, Dec 16: In the wake of Supreme Court ruling, the J&K Chief Information Commissioner, G R Sofi and two Information Commissioners Dr S K Sharma and Er Nazir Ahmad have voluntarily removed beacon lights from their official vehicles.
Pertinent to mention that the Chief Information Commissioner has the status equivalent to that of Election Commissioner of India, who can use beacon light on his official vehicle.
