REASI, July 18: District Police Reasi today booked a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.
According to Police, Vishal Sharma alias “Lakhan” , age – 32 years, son of Raj Kumar, resident of Nai Basti, Tehsil & District Reasi, is a criminal of desperate character and habitual of indulging in acts of violence such as attempt to murder, crime against women, cheating, theft, stealing Government property and attacking public servant.
FIR number 02/2012 U/S 363/376/120-B RPC, FIR No. 75/2023 U/S 307, 341, 323, 82, 34 IPC of P/S Reasi, FIR No. 18/2023 U/S 420/467/468/471 IPC of P/S Mahore, FIR No. 146/2023 U/S 379 IPC ¾ PDPP Act and FIR 147/2023 U/S 353/332/341/ 427/34 IPC were registered against Vishal Sharma alias “Lakhan” along with his accomplices who often threatened to the people of area.
In view of his continuous involvement in criminal activities, SSP Reasi Amit Gupta prepared a dossier, which was sent to District Magistrate Reasi who formally issued the order for detention of the accused under PSA.
