JAMMU, July 21: BJP leader and Chairman of Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, made a fervent appeal to women to spearhead a proactive drug awareness campaign in Jammu and Kashmir.
He emphasized that the drug mafia is actively targeting the younger generation, including school and college students, jeopardizing the future of the nation.
During an exclusive meeting in Pouni Chack area, Jamwal addressed a large gathering of women and assured them that Team Jammu’s volunteers would tirelessly combat the drug issue across the entire Jammu region.
Jamwal stressed the importance of involving school-going children and college youth in spreading the anti-drug message at the grassroots level. He called upon mothers to take the lead and educate their children about the harmful consequences of drug abuse.
The BJP leader passionately urged women to join forces and take responsibility in their respective localities to closely monitor and counter suspicious activities of drug peddlers.
He emphasized the urgency of proactive campaigns by women, who play significant roles as wives, sisters, and mothers.
He appealed to them to approach this endeavor with love and compassion, as it would help prevent self-destruction among those ensnared by drug addiction.
According to Jamwal, the present time demands women to step out of their homes and reach vulnerable segments of society to address the drug crisis effectively.
He encouraged women to instil the values of Sanatan (eternal) tradition in their siblings from a young age, enabling them to differentiate between right and wrong and lay the foundation for a brighter future.
