MENDHAR, July 21: The apprehension of an accident has increased due to the breaking of the culvet on the road in Ari village, located in Mendhar Sub-Division of Poonch district on Friday.
Report said that the culvert built in the middle of the road in Ari, located on the way from Mendhar to Surankot, broke down, due to which hundreds of vehicles and passengers are facing trouble.
Locals of area include Taxi Union president Kafeel Khan accused the PMGSY authorities and said that a few days back, we had urged the administration and PMGSY to repair the culvert built on this road, but our demand was ignored, as a result of which the culvert got broken today and there could be a big accident here.
The villagers have urged the District administration Poonch issue necessary directions to the concerned authorities as this road connects many rural and urban areas. Hundreds of vehicles ply on this route and who will be responsible in case of an accident. They said that PMCSY should get this culvert repaired soon.
