Theft case solved in Baramulla, accused nabbed

Srinagar, July 22: Police in Baramulla today successfully solved a theft case by apprehending an accused person involved in the crime.
On 20/07/23, Police Station Pattan received a written application from Khursheed Ahmad Zaz, son of Ab Gani Zaz and a professional contractor, reporting that his cement mixer was stolen from Shirpora Pattan, near the PHE water filtration plant, police said.
Consequently, the police registered a case FIR No. 239/2023 under relevant sections of the law at Police Station Pattan and initiated an investigation.
“After extensive efforts, one suspect, identified as Irshad Majeed Wani, son of Ab Majeed Wani and a resident of Chanderseer, confessed to his involvement in the commission of the crime. Following his disclosure, the stolen property was recovered from his residence in Chanderseer,” the police stated.
Irshad Majeed Wani has been arrested and taken into custody at the police station. “Further investigation into the case is ongoing,” the police added.
