UDHAMPUR, July 22: Udhampur Police foiled a bovine smuggling bid under the jurisdiction of Police Post Tikri and rescued 8 bovine animals.
These bovines were being smuggled in vehicle bearing registration numbers JK02BM -5215, which was its way from Jammu towards Srinagar and intercepted by a Police naka party of PP Tikri headed by IC PP Tikri PSI Abdul Satar.
On enquiry, the driver of the vehicle disclosed his name as Makhan Lal, son of Madan Lal of Chanunta Barta Tehsil /Distt Udhampur and he was arrested on the spot.
In this connection, case FIR number 207 /2023 U/S 188 IPC 11 PC Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal.
