POONCH, July 23: The police arrested a drug-peddler and recovered a consignment of heroin from his possession here today.
Official sources said that a police party from Police Station Poonch during a naka at Kalai bridge, stopped a motorcycle bearing registration number JK12C- 3237. During checking and frisking of the rider, the police party recovered 05 grams of heroin from his possession.
He was identified as Mohd Rashid, son of Abdul Hamid, resident of village Jallian in Mandi, and at present Qazi Mohra, Poonch.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 107/2023 U/S 8/21/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Poonch.
