12 injured in two road accidents

JAMMU, July 23: Twelve persons were injured, two of them critically, in two separate road accidents occurred today in outskirts of Jammu.
According to the reports, a bike bearing registration number JK02DC-5259 and a scooty bearing registration number JK02AH-2284 collided with each other near Kol Kandoli Temple in Nagrota area, leading to serious injuries to riders of both the vehicles.
One of the injured persons was identified as 19-year-old Altaf Ahmed son of Farooq Ahmed, resident of Bypass Nagrota while the identity of other victim could not be identified. Both were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where their condition was stated to be critical when the last reports came in. Nagrota Police had registered a case in this connection and started investigation.
Meanwhile, a speeding mini-bus heading towards Jammu overturned on Jammu-Akhnoor Road near Police Station Domana, resulting into injuries to 10 passengers travelling in the vehicle. All the injured were shifted to GMCH Jammu for medical treatment while a case in this connection was registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation initiated.
The injured passengers were identified as Pradiman (59) son of Kashi Lal Koul of Jagti and his wife Meenu Koul (50), Neetu Ram (20) son of Durga Dass of Thathi (Pangrari), Aman Gupta (20) son of Pawan Gupta of Purkhoo, Anju Devi (30) wife of Rakesh Kumar of Mishriwala and her son Vansh Kumar (11), Deepak Kumar (28) son of Veeru Ram of Gari, Raj Singh (27) son of Thakur Singh of Reasi and his wife Maya Devi (28), and Amarjeet (37) son of Kartar Chand of Tokrian Marh.
