Theft case solved, stolen motorcycles recovered

JAMMU, July 24: Peermitha Police today solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovering three stolen motorcycles on his disclosure.
“Acting on information regarding theft of a motorcycle under the jurisdiction of Police Station Peermitha, a police team was constituted by SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar to solve the case,” a Police spokesman said.
He said the Police team led by SHO Peermitha Inspector Mohd Rashid with the help of CCTV of the area finally rounded up the suspected person namely Saraj Udin alias Shonku son of Noor Ali, resident of Mangu Chak (Satwari, Jammu).
“During questioning, the suspect confessed his involvement in the theft case of the bike and on his disclosure 3 stolen motorcycles were recovered,” the spokesman said, adding the recovered stolen vehicles are black coloured Royal Enfield (Engine Number U3K5C1KA916367 and Chasis Number ME3U3K5C-1KA888522), grey coloured Royal Enfield Classic (Engine Number U3S5C1JG800747 and Chasis Number ME3U3S5C1JG775981) and black coloured Pulsar 220 (Engine Number DKXCMF18693).
He said a case FIR Number 21/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered in this connection at Police Station Peermitha and the accused arrested. Further investigation of the case was going on, the spokesman added.
