Cong misleading people for survival: Manyal

SAMBA, July 25 : Accusing the Congress of turning issueless as its leaders are making misleading statements to keep their party alive through media only, the BJP today said that the party instead should see the ground reality.
The people are well aware of the past policies and priorities of the Congress and role of its leaders during seven decades when it was in power at the centre and in the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir either on its own or while sharing power with Kashmir-centric, regional political parties.
This was stated by Jammu and Kashmir BJP general secretary and former Minister, Dr. Devinder Manyal, while advising the Congress leaders to first introspect themselves before making attempts to mislead the people of the UT for political gains.
Strongly reacting to the self drafted claim of J&K Congress president that BJP will face humiliating defeat in elections, Dr. Manyal said that Vikar Rasool Wani is not aware of the facts with regard to the fast declination of the non BJP parties in the UT, including Congress.
“The Congress leadership should not forget that over the past few years, the BJP has registered one victory after the other in all the elections, whether Panchayats, ULBs or Assembly”, he said and added that at the same time, in these elections at different levels, the Congress in particular, had to face humiliating defeats. This is the reality but Congress leaders are still day dreaming of gaining the lost ground in the UT by making false and misleading statements.
Dr. Manyal said that in the present era of easily accessible modern means of communication, the people are well informed and they realise that BJP is the only political party which do not promote a family but works on the principle of taking all together on the path of progress and prosperity. He said that the history of Congress has nepotism, scams and corruption, whereas it goes to the credit of BJP that it treated all regions, sections and faiths equal in matters of development and public welfare, which has been the hallmark of its governance.
