REASI, July 26: In a drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators, Reasi Police seized vehicles involved in the smuggling and also arrested .
The seized vehicles included two dumpers bearing registration numbers JK20B-4106 and JK20A-7951 and a heavy excavator.
An information was received through reliable sources at Police Station Mahore that person namely Rayaz Ahmed, son of Hassan Din of Sarh, Tehsil Mahore and Bilal Ahmed son of Bhar Din of Sarh Bagga were involved in illegally extraction of minor minerals from Badora Nallah with the help of heavy excavator driven by Mohd Tariq son of Muhamdu of Shibrass, Mahore. Acting swiftly, a team of Police Station Mahore reached the spot and seized dumpers as well as the excavator involved in transportation of illegal mining material.
In this regard, case FIR number 87/2023 U/S 379/IPC 3,PDPP Act, 4/21 MMDR Act was registered at P/S Mahore. The whole operation was led by SHO Mahore Insp Karnail Singh, under supervision of SDPO Mahore Chabbil Singh.
