KISHTWAR, July 27: In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the 118 RCC Border Roads Organisation (BRO) successfully restored the damaged bridge on Sohal Nallah at Paddar here within a remarkably short span of time.
The bridge had suffered extensive damage due to a landslide triggered by continuous rains but it was quickly repaired by the diligent efforts of BRO personnel who started the bridge restoration work during the last night itself.
The bridge was damaged yesterday when a landslide left a big boulder to roll over the belly bridge over Sohal Nallah in Paddar damaging a major portion of the bridge which led to an immediate problem for the commuters and Mindal Mata Yatra pilgrims.
After receiving the report of the incident, the 118 RCC BRO sprang into action promptly with its skilled personnel, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and expertise who worked tirelessly to restore the damaged bridge and ensure the swift resumption of vehicular movement towards Tiyari, Ishtiyari and Sansari areas. Realizing urgency of the situation and the impact on nearly 50 villages that were cut off due to bridge’s damage, the BRO personnel undertook the restoration task with utmost priority.
In a handout BRO stated that the damaged bridge had led to a significant disruption in the movement of vehicles, affecting not only the local commuters but also the devotees of revered Mindal Mata pilgrimage.
The timely and effective restoration efforts by 118 RCC BRO significantly alleviated the inconvenience faced by the affected communities and the pilgrims, thus showcasing BRO’s commitment in serving the public with dedication and efficiency.
