JAMMU, July 27: Police here today claimed to have arrested three individuals and recovered from their possession 40 grams of heroin.
A police spokesperson said that a police team led by SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and assisted by SHO Bagh e Bahu Police Station, Inspector Arti Thakur, rounded up three suspects at Bravo 3 naka, who were travelling in a vehicle (JK14B 5955). Upon searching the suspects, 40 grams of heroin were seized from their possession.
Following this development, he said, a case was registered under FIR number 62/2023, citing sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Bagh e Bahu.
The arrested individuals were identified as Ajaz Ahmed alias Kaka, Rafiq Ahmed, and Mashooq Ali, all residents of Ragoora, Tehsil & District Jammu, said the spokesperson.
Further investigation in the case is on.
