JAMMU, July 28: Police here in RS Pura area claimed to have arrested and booked two notorious criminals under the Public Safety Act (PSA) today.
A police spokesperson said that acting on reliable intelligence, Sandeep Kumar alias Shotu of Chak Aslam, Rs Pura and Sunny Kumar of Ward Number 4, RS Pura, were arrested by a team of police led by SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna assisted by SHO RS Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar.
The arrested criminals were evading their arrest in 17 heinous criminal cases, including attempt to murder, stabbing, snatching, Arms Act violations, and kidnappings, said the police spokesperson.
He said a warrant of arrest had been issued against the accused by the competent authority which got executed today with the shifting of the criminals to Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
