JAMMU, July 29: Dr Mandeep Singh Azad, working as Scientist SKUAST-Jammu, recently attended the prestigious 25th Conference of the Association for the Advancement of Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Western Australia in Perth.
The theme of conference this year was Animal Breeding at the Crossroads. It is considered as one of the most prestigious society for animal geneticist and breeder since its inaugural conference in 1979.
He was the only scientist from India who attended this event. He was awarded full Fellowship by United Kingdom based Poultry organization for attending this event. Scientists and researchers from many different countries attended this event and presented their work.
The main aim of this society is to explore the role of animal breeding in a future with ever-increasing community concern for climate change, environmental impacts, animal welfare, and meat consumption.
