JAMMU, July 29: Aam Aadmi Party State Spokesperson Appu Singh has said that Prime Minister should speak up in the Parliament on the Manipur crisis.
Talking to media persons, here today, she said that it was a matter of immense shame that the Chief Minister of Manipur went on record to state that hundreds of cases similar to that of parading two women naked and rape were happening in Manipur and even after that he has the moral ground to stay on his power position.
Alleging that the Government was avoiding detailed discussion over the issue, the AAP leader stressed that the PM needs to explain why ‘the Manipur issue for him is just worthy of not more than two and a half hours of discussion under Rule 176.
She questioned as to why the State and the Central Government have not been able to cater to the expectations of Meitei and the Kuki community.
