SRINAGAR, Dec 19: Two residential houses were gutted in devastating fire at Mukdam Mohalla, Wagoora, falling under the jurisdiction of police station Nowgam.
As per reports, fire broke out in the house of Manzoor Ahmed Ganie, son of Ghulam Qadir of Mukdam Mohalla due to LPG cylinder leakage. Soon the fire engulfed adjoining house of Basher Ahmed, son of Ghulam Rasool.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames. After hectic efforts the fire was brought under control.
No loss of life or injury has been reported in the incident, whereas the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
Police has initiated inquiry into the incident.
