UDHAMPUR, July 30: One person died and three others were injured when a car rammed into a roadside divider near Moud Passi on the National Highway Udhampur, here today.
According to the Police reports, a Maruti Alto car bearing registration number JK19-6271, rammed into roadside divider near Moud Passi resulting into on the spot death of one person and critical injuries to three others.
The deceased was identified as Nazim (26) son of Abdul Latief, resident of Batote. He was declared as brought dead at District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured persons were identified as Mohd Naseem (55), son of Bhadur Din of Batote, Shamima Begum (55), wife of Mohd Maqbool of Batote and Shamima Begum (35), wife of Zahid Abad. They were undergoing treatment at Udhampur Hospital.
Meanwhile, a man died after falling from a tree at village Sang in tehsil Basantgarh. The deceased was identified as Mohd Rafiq (44), son of Sayed Mohd, resident of village Sang.
Reports said that the deceased was cutting a tree at village Sang forest area when he suddenly fell down and sustained fatal injuries. Even as some locals rushed him to PHC Basantgarh, doctors declared him as brought dead.
