Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the police officers should take extra effort to ensure any event planned within the state complies with the law and no event which endangers the safety of the public should be organised.
While inaugurating CM’s Command Center and CM Dashboard at Lal Bahadur Shastri Bhawan, Yogi said that the purpose of setting up the command center and dashboard is to capture data as well as to accelerate the economy of UP. “Along with this, its main objective is to solve the problems of the general public in a time-bound manner,” he said.
He said that the officer or personnel should reside in their posted district. “It should not happen that the posting is in one district and the officers and personnel reside in another district. If government accommodation is not available then officers should stay in rented houses and reach their offices on time,” he said.
The CM said that the works of all the personnel should be reviewed. “Police stations should be reviewed by the Superintendent of Police, district level departments by the district officer and divisional level works by the commissioner,” he said.
Emphasising on the need for use of technology, he said, “We have to create such a mechanism at the district level to address the issues of the people as soon as possible. If we can monitor the ambulance sitting here, then every activity of the district can also be monitored because technology has become far better.”
Yogi said, “Any type of negligence will not be tolerated. The district officials should ensure the disposal of issues of the people at the district level itself. People should not have to wander anywhere.”
He said that UP has the potential to become the growth engine of the country. “By combining effort with hard work, UP can stand in the series of leading states,” he said.
The CM said, “Each and every data of the field should be fair and correct. Avoid any type of manipulation in order to promote healthy competition. The data uploaded from the field will undergo verification. We will periodically check and ensure that it is not just a paper-based formality. Therefore, all the data that comes in should be organized and completed in a timely manner”, he informed further.”
Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Finance and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, Jal Shakti and Flood Control Minister Swatantra Dev Singh and Urban Development Minister AK Sharma were present in the programme.
The command center and dashboard will prove effective in providing timely solutions to the problems of the common people and ensuring better implementation of Government schemes.
In line with CM Yogi’s visionary approach focusing on the welfare of 24 crore people of UP, the performance of officials of the police administration, municipal corporations, development authorities, universities and various government schemes will be evaluated through monthly rankings and grading.
With the assistance of the CM Dashboard, real-time monitoring will be carried out. This initiative will play a significant role in maintaining the trust of the common people in CM Yogi and his Government.
In line with the Chief Minister’s vision, the command center is equipped with an integrated dashboard, video wall, video conferencing facility, call center, discussion, training and technical rooms with world-class amenities. The dashboard will be operated here, ensuring monitoring of departmental services, schemes and programs at various levels.
Currently, 588 schemes of 53 departments are registered. A performance index has been developed based on the information received from departments on the dashboard and accordingly, monthly state-level grading will be issued.
A Data Quality Index has been developed to ensure the quality of departmental data, and its monthly evaluation will also be displayed. For ranking and grading Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates 106 flagship projects have been identified.
Teams of specialists have been deployed for data analysis and data monitoring, keeping a close eye on the performance of each department and district. Under the supervision of the CM office, the command center and dashboard will play a crucial role in the effective implementation, monitoring, and performance grading of flagship projects and will contribute significantly to feedback.
The CM dashboard will display the top and bottom performers among departments and districts, and departments and districts with lower performance will undergo the necessary actions for improvement.
