Sir,
Truly speaking, the common man can well understand that issue of generation of new power projects can obviously take reasonable time for fructification, but in no way the reasons for non- completion of task of transmission and distribution of power till now which was entrusted to a reputed private agency about 2 years back, with sole purpose of streamlining existing faulty power distribution system, is convincing due to reasons of vote bank politics. Please remember that people of state have wholeheartedly supported the authorities as regards metering of almost all houses as well as re-loading of capacities with actual power consumption is concerned. Hence, the reasons reported that this cited matter has now been put on hold ( DE 09/12/13) on account of forthcoming election, is disheartening and disgusting.
We wish that news reported above proves wrong. But, we have also reasons not to disbelieve the reported news, as experience reveals. We infer that the lives of common people are deliberately being made uncertain, confusing and full of suffering and will likely to remain so in next year also for non-availability of quality power and force them to use unauthorised means to settle their woes. In short, the Govt is doing great disservice to common people by augmenting their suffering, probably in order to cling to power, lest they should be voted out of power for apprehension of resentment against power reforms ahead of election, which is misleading and illogical. It is really unfortunate that politics is being played in respect of Power reforms which need to be stopped in the interests of common man.
Lastly, we wish present Govt to take expeditious steps towards dispelling any wrong notion among people in this behalf and work for timely accomplishment of promises for wellbeing of people as always claimed. The common man is closely watching the situation and craves for revolutionary changes in power sector without playing any gimmicks or bad politics .Let our present Chief Minister( who also holds power portfolio) and is known for visionary approach take credit for taking bold steps and thereby ensure that lives of people become free of miseries
