JAMMU, Aug 1: Indian Orthopaedic Association in collaboration with J&K Orthopaedic Association is organizing the Bone & Joint Week Celebration, which was inaugurated today at Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu.
To mark the inauguration, a Yoga & Meditation session was conducted by Prof T R Raina, former Prof & Head, Department of Transfusion Medicine, GMC, Jammu in which the faculty members, MBBS/ Postgraduate students and other staff members were given a live demonstration of Yoga and the importance of meditation in day to day life of an individual especially in today’s stressful life.
The function was inaugurated by D K Batra, Secretary, ASCOMS along with Dr T R Raina, Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS; Dr Rajesh K Gupta, Prof & HOD, Orthopaedics, ASCOMS; Dr Bella Mahajan, Prof & HOD, Microbiology, ASCOMS; Brig (Dr ) R K Khajuria, Professor, Community Medicine, ASCOMS and . Davinder Kaur, Vice Principal, ASCCON Education .
Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal appreciated the efforts of Dr Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Prof & Head Orthopaedics Deptt ASCOMS and past President J&K Orthopaedic Association for taking such an initiative and associating ASCOMS with this national event.
Dr Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Prof & Head Department of Orthopaedics, while delivering the vote of thanks, expressed his gratitude to all the faculty members, students and staff for their active participation in the event. He also expressed his gratitude to all staff members of his Department who were actively involved in organizing the event.
He also thanked the Management of ASCOMS which provided all logistic support for organizing the event under the banner of Indian Orthopaedic Association.
