JAMMU, Aug 3: Kashmiri Pandit Conference ( KPC ) strongly castigated the Kashmir centric so-called leaders like Abdullahs ,Muftis and their coteries for again playing dirty politics over Article 370 by exploiting the sentiments of people of Valley.
Kundan Kashmiri, president KPC stated that these so–called leaders always maintained double standards and promoted violence which suited their divisive politics and not allowed Kashmiris to contribute for nation-building but instigated them against India by sowing the seeds of hatred and secessionism.
KPC president stated that neither Kashmir nor Article–370 was any issue for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, but it was always an industry for Abdullahs, Muftis and their coteries who were its sole beneficiaries and who and their other relatives looted the resources of the State under the garb of special status for decades together .
Now after abrogation of Article, when role of such so-called Kashmir centric leaders is over, they again started roping in religious politics and challenging the abrogation of Article 370 to again exploit people for their vested political interests.
As regards Article 370, Kundan Kashmiri, stated that when this Article was tabled for discussion in the Constituent Assembly in 1949, none of the ministers in Nehru Cabinet approved it and even Dr Ambedkar, then Law Minister and father of Indian Constitution bluntly told Sheikh Abdullah that he was not going to make another Pakistan in independent India., But Sheikh Abdullah pressurized the Nehru and got the bill passed in the Parliament. Now same Parliament passed the Reorganization Act of 2019 with an overwhelming majority, he added.
Kashmiri further said, Article 370 of Constitution of India was temporary provision inserted in the year 1949, hence this Article was to be abrogated.
Kashmiri suggested people of JK UT to concentrate towards development, peace and prosperity and not allow the exploiters to mislead them for their vested interests.
