Samba police arrests 3 notorious bootleggers

SAMBA, Aug 3: Continuing its drive against illicit ‘Desi’ liquor sale launched on the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police has arrested three notorious bootleggers and recovered from their possession illicit ‘Desi’ liquor.
The arrested bootleggers have been identified as Tilak Raj, son of Uttam Chand of Dhaki tehsil and district Samba, Karan Singh, son of Basant Singh of Paloni Chandli tehsil and district Samba and Sohan Lal, son of Gopal Dass of Radwan tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba.
A case FIR No.188/2023 U/S 48(a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Samba through PP Goran against Tilak and Karan, whereas case FIR No.45/2023 U/S 48(a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station, Ramgarh against Sohan. Police said the investigation is underway.
The bootleggers have been arrested by in charge Police Post, Goran, PSI Sajid Jaral and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Samba police has arrested several notorious bootleggers involved in sale of illicit liquor in past six months and police is continuously and vigorously conducting raids to apprehend the bootleggers in the district on the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh.
