Dimple holds protest over Property Tax, Prepaid Metering

JAMMU, Aug 4: Sunil Dimple, President Mission Statehood along with a large number of people today held a strong protest against the Union Territory Administration.
Dimple also burnt the copies of the orders to file return of property tax and the prepaid metering notifications during the protest here in Jammu.
Dimple accused the BJP Government for harassment to the poor people of Jammu and Kashmir in the shape of property taxes and recharge smart metering in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dimple said the Government has ordered to file returns and asked Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) to initiate survey, measurement dimensions of the houses for imposing house, property taxes and to file returns in the month of August 2023.
He also demanded Prime Minister Modi to give free 500 units electricity per month to the people of Jammu and Kashmir or return power projects. He warned of massive agitation against the recharge metering system in Jammu and Kashmir and also asked Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinah to waive off the old electricity bills.
