BJP calls 48-hr bandh following Kichloo induction in State Cabinet

JAMMU : Protesting against clean chit to Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and his re-induction in State cabinet again, Bharatiya Janata Party today called for two day Jammu bandh.
Activists led by party State president Jugal Kishore, hundreds of workers assembled outside the Raj Bhawan amid slogans and demonstrated against the decision of clean chit to Mr Kichloo and his re-induction as Minister.
Mr Sharma while announcing party’s call for 48-hours bandh from tomorrow, condemned the decision of the NC-led coalition Government to rehabilitate Kichloo on the basis of manipulated interim report.
“BJP will not take lightly to this irresponsible and communally motivated act and reach out to the masses to mobilise the opinion against the NC-Congress Government,” he said and asked the one-man inquiry commission on what basis he gave a clean chit to the NC leader and also questioned the very recommendation that VDCs be reconstituted by including members of majority community.
Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria said the decision of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to re-induct Kichloo as MoS (Home) will not only embolden the anti-minority forces in the State but would also give rise to sense of insecurity among members of minority community which may lead to mass migration.
