JAMMU, Aug 5: J&K BJP ST Morcha deputation led by its president Choudhary Roshan Hussain met party president, Ravinder Raina, to discuss the issue of Reservation Bill of Pahari community. The deputation demanded that there should be no dilution with reservation quota of Gujjar Bakkerwal community.
Ravinder Raina assured the ST Morcha deputation that their quota is protected and quota to Pahari community will not disturb the present quota allocated to the Gujjar Bakkerwals.
Raina said that BJP has worked with “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Vikas”. Modi Government has given forest land rights acts, ban on inter-district law, political reservation and other benefits to Gujjar-Bakkerwal. He said that earlier governments did injustice to the community for past 70 years, misusing their emotions, denying the basic right of homeland to the community.
Gujjar-Bakkerwals during their migration to Kashmir from various areas of Jammu region, Modi Government has provided vehicular transportation facility to the community for the easier transportation of their animals.
Only Modi Government has fulfilled the aspiration of political and social rights to the community, whereas other political parties only eyed them as the petty vote bank.
Modi Government has served all the people with equality with no prejudice for anyone giving equal development to every region and equal opportunity to every community.
Modi Government has catered to the needs of every community in Jammu & Kashmir while taking care every other community’s aspirations. He said that the special quota given to Pahari community is apart from the Gujjar-Bakkerwal community and no overlapping would be there. Hence, it is the time of celebration for both the communities.
Roshan Hussain speaking on the occasion said that earlier Union Home Minister has assured that the quota of Gujjars would not be disturbed and now the UT president has also assured the community clarifying any air of doubt on the subject matter. He said that the Gujjar Bakkerwal community has full faith on BJP and only certain vested interests are mis-communicating the doubts among the masses.
