Verma asks Amarnathji pilgrims to be brand ambassadors of J&K

Jammu, Aug 5: GAD Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma, who interacted with Amarnathji pilgrims here today, called upon them to become brand ambassadors of J&K.
“Separatism is finished and terrorism is on its last legs. It’s now the rule of peace in the UT,” he said and asked the pilgrims to also visit other religious places & tourist spots in the UT.
He also visited langar site of Shri Amarnathji Yatra Welfare Society (SAYWS), which has been shifted from Saraswati Dham to TRC counter at railway station and assessed the facilities being provided to pilgrims.
He also served langar to pilgrims here and commended the services being offered by SAYWS.
As a gesture of appreciation, SAYWS office bearers honoured Sanjeev Verma who also appreciated langar committee for their tireless efforts.
Expressing his gratitude, SAYWS president Kiran Wattal thanked Verma for his visit and provided a brief overview of the society’s activities.
Later, senior vice-president Anil Gupta emphasized that utmost attention was given to maintaining cleanliness at the langar, and packaged drinking water bottles were provided to the pilgrims.Pure Dogri food is served in langar. He also praised administration & police personnel for round the clock services to pilgrims.He also thanked media for providing timely information to pilgrims.He further highlighted that SAYWS ran the langar solely with the support of its office bearers, without any external contributions and also
“Approximately 3,000 to 4,000 pilgrims were served langar at the SAYWS venue on a daily basis,” he said.He appealed the pilgrims to follow the guidelines issued by administration & after Yatra go to their home places with a message of peace & hospitality of Jammu people.He also Sh.Sanjeev Verma Ji for their kind visit & interaction with Yatries.
