K Rajendra calls on DGP Dilbag Singh

SRINAGAR, Aug 7: Former Director General of Police (DGP), K Rajendra Kumar, paid a visit to the Police Headquarters here where he met with the incumbent Police Chief, Dilbag Singh.
During his personal trip to Srinagar, K Rajendra was warmly received by DGP Dilbag Singh and other senior officers, including ADGP MK Sinha and IGP B S Tuti.
Expressing his pleasure in welcoming retired colleagues, DGP Dilbag Singh highlighted the importance of continuing the legacy of former leaders.
K Rajendra Kumar, on his part, expressed a sense of familiarity at the Police Headquarters and lauded the dedication and professionalism of the officers and personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
He extended his best wishes to the entire police force for their endeavors.
In an interaction with various senior officers present at the event, K Rajendra Kumar shared his insights and engaged in meaningful discussions.
Meanwhile, DGP Dilbag Singh approved a Special Welfare Relief amounting to over Rs 1.01 crore for the families of seven deceased police personnel and Special Police Officers (SPOs). The relief included Rs 22 lakh each for the families of ASI Bashir Ahmad, ASI Sansar Chand, Selection Grade Constable Nazir Ahmad, and Follower Sohan Singh, who had passed away while in service.
In addition, Rs 6 lakh each were sanctioned for the dependents/legal heirs of SPOs Zahoor Ahmad and Abdul Khaliq, who lost their lives during their engagement with the police department.
The financial assistance was drawn from the Contributory Welfare Fund of SPOs. Moreover, a gesture of compassion was extended as DGP Dilbag Singh approved Rs 1 lakh in financial aid for the daughter of a martyr police official. This assistance was intended to help cover expenses related to her upcoming marriage and was provided from the Police Pariwar Fund.
