UDHAMPUR, Aug 7: In a tragic incident, a young man was burnt to death when his house caught fire at village Katti in Panchari, late last night.
The deceased was identified as Gian Chand (38), son of Dhani Ram Bhagat, resident of village Katti in Panchari Tehsil, was Panch of Ward number 5. He was burnt to death in the accidental fire that broke out in his house.
The entire house was gutted in the fire and one buffalo also got roasted alive in the mishap.
After receiving information, a police party led by SHO Panchari Inspector Rakesh Kumar rushed to the spot and with the help of local villagers, rescued other family member and domestic animals.
Later dead body of Gian Chand was shifted to the PHC Panchari for the postmortem. Cause of fie could not be ascertained while Police have registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
