DODA, Aug 7: The staff of Government Medical College (GMC) Doda started protest after a patient misbehaved with a staffer at the GMC yesterday.
The accused was however arrested by the police and an FIR was also register against him.
After misbehaviour with the staffer of GMC, the entire staff of the Medical College including doctors, nurses and others went on strike which continued till 12 noon today.
Services of the Medical College were affected due to the protest and the visiting patients faced a lot of problems.
Ultimately Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan reached GMC Doda and talked with the protesters and the patients.
In the meantime Principal of GMC Doda, Puja Vimesh also reached there.
On the intervention of DC Doda, staff of the GMC was pacified and resumed their duties.
However the patients visiting the GMC expressed resentment against the behaviour of the staff there and requested J&K LG that the humble personnel should be posted at GMC Doda.
