All KP bodies to form part of unity move: ADKUF

JAMMU, Aug, 7: The first meeting of the Committee framed by Kashmiri Pandits on the initiative of All Displaced Kashmiri United Forum (ADKUF) held
its meeting today under the leadership of BL Bhat a well known social worker.
PN Raina general secretary, ADKUF in his welcome address apprised about the importance and agenda of the meeting. He spoke about the efforts made by the Forum on unity move and said that the Forum is continuing its unity mission to involve more KP bodies at Delhi and beyond.
Dr. Ramesh Bhat presented a road map of functioning of the committee and enumerated the community demands, formation of Sub Committees which will work on economic social cultural security related and other issues.
MK Bangroo senior journalist advised to expand the Committee to the global level. Sundry Lal and Ashok Dhar while pointed out the vacuum of strong political representation among the KP community needs to be filled. Subash Chatta, Dr AK Raina, Prof BL Zutshi, CL Bhat , ML Malla advised that community should not forget the sacrifices and role played by old but once vibrant Pandit bodies like ASKPC, AIKPC and Yuak Sabha and must try to strengthen and revive them again. Representation is required to be given to all KPs involving existing Temple Committees at district and even tehsil level they added.
RK Bhat president YAIKS said that the KPs stand united and we must concentrate on consensus instead of unity Committee must work on representative character through elections. King C Bharti also supported the elected representative character. MK Yogi advised that community must surrender false egos if any and work dedicatedly for selfless service.
Dr Sushil Wattal, Pran Pandit, Kuldeep Raina said that the unity and consensus must continue and the organisers should not get dismayed by criticism or confrontation of any kind.
Comrade Mohan Lal , Bhrat Bhushan and Anil Bhan also extended their full support to the unity move and committee. Desh Rattan of AIMCCC stressed upon continuing the unity and consensus efforts and involving youth and sincere ground level leaders and workers.
Meanwhile an Adhoc Committee comprising 11 members was formulated they included PN Raina, Sundri Lal, Asok Dhar, RK Bhat, Desh Rattan, Pran Pandit, CL Bhat, King C Bharti, MK Yogi, Anil Bhan and PK Raina. This Committee is headed by ML Malla.
