JAMMU, Aug 8: High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has granted two weeks time to the present Commissioner Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department for compliance of the order whereby compulsory retirement of KAS officer Bhumesh Sharma was quashed.
When the petition seeking implementation of order came up for hearing, Justice Rajnesh Oswal observed, “in terms of previous order, the respondent, the then Commissioner Secretary was directed to comply with order of this court, failing which, rule of court was required to be framed against him”.
“The counsels for the respondents submit that Sanjeev Verma is presently holding the office of Commissioner Secretary to Govt. General Administration Department. He is impleaded as party respondent”, High Court said, adding “in the interest of justice, two weeks’ time is granted to the newly impleaded respondent to comply with order of this court, failing which, he shall remain present before this court”.
The petition has now been listed on 25.08.2023.
