Notorious heroin supplier remanded to 15 days judicial custody

SAMBA, Aug 8 : Notorious heroin supplier Farman Ali code-named “DC” of Rakh Barotian Vijaypur, who was arrested by Samba police red-handed while selling heroin to addicted youth, has been remanded to 15 days judicial custody and has been lodged in District Jail Kathua.
Notorious heroin supplier Farman Ali alias “DC”, son of Bashir of Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur used to operate in Samba district particularly in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, Vijaypur and Ramgarh by frequently changing his identity, hide-outs and modus-operandi and mostly used to supply heroin to the other small suppliers and individual addicts in the open fields so as to escape in the event of police raid. However, police party while performing patrolling duties succeeded in arresting him and recovered heroin from his possession.
A case FIR No. 183/2023 U/s 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act was registered against smuggler “DC” at Police Station Samba through Police Post Supwal and investigation was started. Hardcore accused “DC” was also involved in and arrested by Police in the attack on Police case FIR No.38 /2023 U/s 307,382,353,332,336,147,148 IPC P/S Vijaypur.
After police remand in NDPSA case FIR No.183/2023 of PP Supwal Samba, notorious heroin supplier “DC” has been remanded to Judicial custody by the Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Samba and he has been lodged in Jail.
The arrest of Chitta supplier “DC” was made by the police team comprising of Dy SP Garu Ram, ASI Ganesh Dass and HC Mohd Saif under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that police is apprehending notorious heroin suppliers under law & bringing all cases pertaining to heroin smuggling and supplying to logical conclusion on merits in time bound manner.
