Ex-MLA leads protest at Ramban

JAMMU, Aug 8: Former MLA from Ramban Ashok Kumar today led a strong protest against the BJP Government regarding recent tax hike, unemployment among the youth and perpetual price rise of essential commodities.
Addressing the protesting people Kumar said that the BJP Government is ignorant of the sufferings of poor people. The public is facing difficulties in sustaining its everyday livelihood due to continuous rise of price of essential commodities. Moreover, increasing rate of unemployment is further making youth vulnerable. He also expressed serious concern over the implementation of smart electric meters or prepaid meters.
Dozens of office bears were present during protest at Ramban district headquarters. They included Janak Singh BCC president, Ishaq Khanday BCC Ukhral, Gopal Raina MC, Mohd Khalid Wani MC, Mohd Iqbal Panch ST president, Pritam Singh chairman Minority, Pradeep Singh Raju general secretary DCC, Balwinder Singh DCC, Irfan Ahmed Bhat DCC president youth wing, Irfan Runyal youth president and Saqib Rafiq, Imran Wani, Manzoor Ahmed, Khushi Mohd, Freed Ahmed, Mudasir and others.
