Sena protests against soaring prices of essential commodities

JAMMU, Aug 8: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit today staged a protest demonstration at Bari Brahmana against the escalating prices of vegetables, fruits and food items compelling the attention of the government.
The protesters donned garlands of vegetables with a tomato crown and the protest was led by Manish Sahni, J&K president of Shiv Sena.
The protesters were holding placards with slogans against inflation.
Addressing the protesters Sahni said that prices of commonly used vegetables such as tomatoes, ginger, cauliflower etc are touching the sky and household budgets of homemakers have been badly hit.
The protesters urged the government to address the issue of inflation and ensure affordable prices for essential commodities.
President Kamgar Wing, Raj Singh; vice president, Shashipal, Rajesh Sharma and others were also present in the protest.
