Srinagar, Aug 9: The Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, today approved the promotion of 485 Head Constables to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors.
This move has come following the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee, which was constituted to assess the suitability of eligible Head Constables for promotion to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors.
“ADGP Kashmir has approved the promotions of 485 Head Constables, who have their lien and seniority within the Kashmir Zone, to the rank of Assistant Sub-Inspectors,” stated a police spokesperson.
Kumar has congratulated the promoted officers and their families, expressing the hope that they will strive to work diligently to maintain public peace, tranquility, and law & order in the Union Territory of J&K.
