SSP Samba reviews security with Army, BSF, other officers

SAMBA, Aug, 10 : Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh today chaired security review meeting with all security agencies ahead of Independence Day-2023 at District Police Headquarters Samba. The meeting was attended by the officers of Army, BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, IB, CID, DSB, GRP, Traffic, HG/CD, PC Samba, Additional SP Samba, all SDPOs, all SHOs, all I/C PPs, all I/C BPPs & other sister agencies.
Welcoming all the participants, the SSP Samba requested them to share inputs, past experiences, suggestions and requirements, if any, relating to the conduct of the Independence Day functions to be held at all venues in district Samba. He also explained to the participants the directions received from the higher ups regarding Independence Day and the manpower available. During the meeting, the security of ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra was also reviewed.
SSP Samba advised all the officers present at the meeting to ensure alertness, work in tandem and to share the intelligence inputs in highly sensitive manner to foil the nefarious designs of anti-national elements and their mentors across the IB. He stressed the need for round the clock alertness of NHW Nakas, strengthening of Border Nakas, surprise laying of joint Nakas and deployment of QRTs at strategic locations especially during the night hours.
Tosh directed to intensify patrolling/surveillance on all the probable infiltration routes and adequate deployment on all the suspected drone dropping points on 24×7 basis besides laying of random night nakas/ambushes at identified vulnerable locations.
