JAMMU, Aug 11: Postmaster General (PMG) Colonel Vinod Kumar today informed that India Posts Jammu is geared up to facilitate general public of J&K and Ladakh for the purchase of flags under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign’ at their doorsteps.
Colonel Kumar further informed that India Post has made elaborate arrangements for display, sales and supply of flags to the doorstep of the customers. He further informed that public can purchase tricolour flags through e-Post office portal till 11:59 PM on 12th August. India Post is selling these flags through its more than 1.59 lakh post offices across the country to celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.
The PMG also informed that arrangements for online orders can also be done through India Post portal by registering with a valid mobile number for the benefits of public by clicking on the link and register, Login using the credentials, Under ‘Products’ click on ‘National Flag’ and add to the cart and Click on ‘Buy Now’; enter the mobile number again; and then verify OTP, Click on the ‘Proceed to Payment’ option and Pay Rs 25 using the desired mode of payment.
Colonel Vinod also informed that a Multimedia Exhibition on horrors of partition has been organized at Gandhinagar Head Post Office that is opened for general public who can visit to see and come to know about the pains of partition. During the inauguration of the Multimedia Exhibition, he said the national flag always keep our moral up and spread the message of brotherhood among the masses and requested people of J&K and Ladakh to hoist national flags on their home/offices.
Subrat Kumar ADM (PLI) Jammu and Keval Senior Postmaster Gandhinagar Head Post Office were also present in the program.
