JAMMU, Aug 11: Chairman of Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra today distributed Voter Cards among senior citizens and newly enrolled voters who have attained 18 yrs of age this year.
Speaking on the occasion, Keshav Chopra lauded Election Commission, Jammu & Kashmir UT Administration and especially the Booth Level officers who have done tremendous work to reach out to maximum people. He also emphasized on the importance of voting right and said that in healthy democracy every single vote is important so is the reason Samvedna Society tried to reach out to senior citizens and young voters who are going to cast their vote for the first time and provided them voter card at their doorstep.
Keshav also asked the people to come forward and aware other people who still have not enrolled their name in voter list. He asked the new voters to visit the respective BLOs of their ward so that their name may be entered in electoral list and they can also cast their vote in upcoming elections.
Manoj Tandon, Ritesh Peer, Sushil Gupta, Divyansh and others were also present during the distribution programme.
