JAMMU, Aug 12: Senior Congress leader and JMC Councillor, Rajni Bala of Ward number 60 here today started tile work for a lane within Neel Sheel Vihar locality of Paloura.
After starting tile work, the Congress leader interacted with residents of the area who expressed serious concern regarding installation of prepaid smart meters and were anguish over irregular power supply in Jammu.
Rajni Bala flayed the decision of government to replace smart power meters with prepaid meters and said that merely switching from one type of meter to another would not address the root cause of corruption within the system.
She condemned the approach of burdening general public with advance payment of power bills, especially during a time when the people are already struggling due to economic repercussions, inflation and unemployment in J&K.
Rajni claimed that Congress is the sole entity capable of realizing the aspirations of J&K people.
Urging the public to rally behind Congress, she emphasized the need for collective support to ensure equitable and comprehensive development across the State.
