Chairman General Zorawar Singh Trust calls on Rajnath Singh

NEW DELHI, Aug 13: Devinder Singh Kaluria, Chairman of General Zorawar Singh Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust along with Trustees of the trust called on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at his office in New Delhi.
The trust put forth the demand of naming the Khori Bridge in Reasi and Kishtwar to Leh Road after the name of General Zorawar Singh.
At the outset of their meeting with the Raksha Mantri, the Chairman and the Trustees Riya Kaluria and Diksha Kaluria apprised the Raksha Mantri on the endeavours, efforts and works undertaken by the Trust in the field of Social Welfare, women empowerment and Education of the underprivileged children since its inception.
They also apprised Raksha Mantri about the renovation protection and conservation of Vijaypur Palace of General Zorawar Singh being undertaken by the UT administration at Reasi and other heritage monuments.
The Chairman of the trust informed the Raksha Mantri about the major events organised by the Trust annually to commemorate the Martyrdom day and birth anniversary of General Zorawar Singh. He also invited the Raksha Mantri to Jammu and Reasi.
“We were really honoured to have met the Raksha Mantri at his office. He has assured us every help and assistance in our efforts of promoting the life and monumental contribution of General Zorawar Singh, who inspired countless military commanders of India and the world”, he said.
