JAMMU, Aug 13: A drug peddler was arrested with heroin from Akhnoor area here today.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Akhnoor Police Station led by SHO Akhnoor, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Sharma rounded up a suspect during routine checking at Chandian, near TRC Akhnoor.
The suspect identified as Razak Ali of Majeen, Upper Raghoora, Jammu, was found in possession of 4.20 grams of heroin, he said.
The accused has been booked in case FIR number 231/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation taken up.
