JAMMU, Dec 23: In the much publicized encroachment of 400 kanal of JDA land at Gole Gujral, Division Bench of High Court comprising Chief Justice M M Kumar and Justice Hasnain Massodi today issued notice to the petitioner’s counsel in the Civil Miscellaneous Application (CMA) moved by the alleged encroachers.
The alleged encroachers while moving a fresh CMA prayed before the DB for their impleadment as party respondents in the PIL on the ground that they are in occupation of the land for the last more than 20 years and have raised their pacca structures on the land.
After hearing Prof SK Bhalla appearing in person and Advocate Ajay Singh Kotwal appearing for the alleged encroachers, DB issued notice to the counsel for the petitioner and directed Registry to list the PIL on February 19, 2014.
