RAJOURI, Aug 14: Continuing the activities under “Meri Maati Mera Desh – Mitti ko Naman Veeron ka Vandan – Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” at police stations, police posts and police lines along with carrying out Tiranga March rallies, a pledge ceremony was carried out at RPHQ Rajouri today.
On the occasion, Dr Mohd Haseeb Mughal – DIG Rajouri Poonch Range Headquarter Rajouri administered the “Panch Pran Pledge” to the officers and officials of RPHQ Rajouri, in which about 50 officers/officials took part and solemnized the pledge.
While interpreting the element of the Panch Pran pledge, Dr Mughal said that the main objective of organizing such programme is to inspire one and all to become best performers as citizens, to strengthen unity and to respect those who protect our country, to celebrate our heritage and to remove any trace of colonial mindset and make India developed and self reliant. He went ahead and planted fruit saplings in the RPHQ premises.
The DIG Rajouri further informed that activities under this campaign are undergoing from 9th August across the range in large numbers on a daily basis. He said all police units across RP Range including police stations, police posts, BPPs and respective DPOs have been instructed to conduct the activities under this campaign.
He said pledge ceremonies and Tiranga rallies are regularly organized at Police Station level while creative exhibition of banners and posters pertaining to the event are also displayed at all police stations, police posts, entry exit points and police check points across the RP Range.
The DIG further disclosed that the program for honouring and felicitation of Veers is organized at all police stations and police posts levels. Veer includes freedom fighters, serving defense personnel from Army, Navy, Air force, Central Armed Police Force and State Police Force personnel who are either serving or have been martyred in the line of duty. Families of such veers are being invited and felicitated as per local customs and tradition, he added.
