REASI, Aug 14: In order to pay tribute to the bravery, courage and valour of Police Martyrs, District Police Reasi under the aegis of Meri Maati-Mera Desh with key components “Mitti Ko Naman, Veeron Ka Vandan” inaugurated Police Martyrs Park at DPL Reasi.
Mohd Suleman Choudhary, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, accompanied by Amit Gupta, SSP Reasi, inaugurated the “Police Martyrs Park” in presence of families of Martyrs, veterans of police alongwith Master Popsy, Addl SP Reasi, Neeraj Padyar, DySP Hqrs Reasi, Insp Vijay Sharma, SHO P/S Reasi and Officers/Officials of Reasi Police.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG U-R Range said that the martyrs without caring for their lives fought till their last breath for peace of J&K and they gave supreme sacrifices of their lives while protecting and safeguarding the nation. Nation and J&K Police is indebted to the supreme sacrifice made by the martyrs in the line of duty and upholding the national flag high, he added.
At the end of the function, a token of love and affection in the form of gifts were handed over to the family members of martyrs by the Officers.
Later on, DIG U-R Range along with SSP Reasi / team of officers interacted with each family of the martyrs and listened to their grievances and issues. On the spot directions were passed to redress these issues.
